Benbecula cottage at Kereru

Benbecula Cottage is a gorgeous little rural getaway, nestled within the serene landscapes of Kereru Farm Weber. This charming hideaway has been around for nearly a century.

The Cottage has been lovingly renovated with a modern makeover. There are 3 cozy bedrooms and everything you need to simply arrive and relax.

It's the perfect size for you and up to five of your favourite people.

Stay with up to 6 people across 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed, the second bedroom has 2 single beds (which can be made into a double), and the final bedroom has a lovely double bed.

All linen and towels are provided, you’ll find board games, and WIFI is ready to go - which is handy because cell phone coverage is very limited. If you fancy some Netflix and chill, there is a smart TV in the lounge, feel free to take a load off and melt into some good viewing.

The open kitchen, living and dining space is perfect for spending time together – imagine sinking into the sofa by the crackling fire, with the smell of a delicious meal wafting from the open-plan kitchen. Ideal.

The kitchen has everything you need to be self-sufficient in your cooking; oven, large fridge/freezer, microwave & dishwasher. Pots, pans roasting dishes, cutlery, plates, bowls, platters, boards and utensils. Have a rummage and you’re sure to find what you’re after.

Soak in the clawfoot bath or freshen up with a shower in the modernised bathroom with a separate toilet.

Kereru Farm Weber is a working 950ha sheep & beef farm, so you’ll get a true country experience with all the sounds, smells and feels that a working farm brings.

While you're here explore our outdoors. Herberville and Akitio Beach are just a 30-minute drive away, offering long stretches of rugged coastline and salty breezes. The fishing and diving are outstanding. And if you're up for chasing waterfalls (and who isn't?), Waihi Falls is just a short drive from your doorstep.

If you don't feel like cooking, head over to the historic Pongaroa Hotel for a good old-fashioned pub meal. Or if you fancy a bite from town, Dannevirke is just a 30-minute drive and has a good selection of eateries including the wonderful High Street Bistro, plenty of fish and chip shops and a neat Thai restaurant.
